Pomorskie’s food scene continues to gain international recognition as Restauracja Tabun, located just outside Gdańsk, was formally awarded its Culinary Heritage certification during the recent Pomorskie Business Summit.
The award was presented to owners Agata and Michał by Certification Inspector Hubert Gonera and Global Coordinator Niclas Fjellström, both of whom delivered keynote speeches at the summit. Their remarks emphasized the growing relevance of local sourcing, culinary identity, and regional storytelling in the global hospitality sector.
Hosted at the elegant Grano Solmarina Hotel and organized by PROT – Pomorskie Regional Tourism Organisation, the summit brought together members of the Pomorskie Prestige platform for a day of networking, knowledge exchange, and celebration of regional excellence. Restauracja Tabun’s certification was a highlight of the event, underscoring the restaurant’s commitment to authenticity, sustainability, and the revival of local food traditions.
“This award is not just a recognition for Restauracja Tabun, but a symbol of what’s possible when culinary passion meets regional pride,” said Niclas Fjellström.
With a strong focus on farm-to-table practices, regional recipes, and a philosophy of hospitality rooted in community, Restauracja Tabun has set a high bar in Pomorskie. And with rising interest from other local restaurants, it is now seen as a trailblazer - marking the beginning of a wave of Culinary Heritage certifications in the region.
As Pomorskie deepens its identity as a top gastronomic destination, Restauracja Tabun’s recognition is a signal to food lovers: authentic regional cuisine is thriving - and here to stay.
