Buhres is located in the magically beautiful Österlen in Skåne. At Verandan, Bistro or Luckan you can enjoy the best that the sea has to offer, right next to the sea in picturesque Kivik. Food joy, tradition and community.
We prepare our ingredients in a modern way, but at the same time protect the traditions and culinary heritage of our region. Everything is prepared on site, and in our small-scale smokehouse, fish and shellfish are gently smoked for our well-stocked fish and delicatessen shop. We smoke our famous smoked salmon with a well-balanced mixture of shavings. Smoking is an old preservation method and for us it is obvious to smoke in a traditional way. The wood-burning method requires the expertise and dexterity of the master smoker, and gives a unique, nuanced taste, surface and beautiful color to the fish.
The shop (Butiken) is one of Sweden's most well-stocked fish and delicatessen shops. Here you can find everything from our own herring pickles according to secret recipes, to exotic fish, oysters, lobsters, sauces, pies, sandwich cakes and delicacies from our own kitchen.
During the summer, we open the Luckan, or "Sillaluckan", where we serve our own interpretation of Nordic fast food. Good and uncomplicated dishes. Sillaluckan is a popular meeting place for a lunch or simple meal. Every year, around 50,000 food-loving and hungry people, both the Kiviks themselves and tourists from Sweden as well as neighboring countries and more distant places from all corners of the world come here to enjoy the food.
Sometimes we invite to food events for connoisseurs who want to experience the joy of food in all its simplicity. We bring the world to our kitchen and see guests enjoy themselves and meet each other, have a bite to eat, try oysters on the terrace in the sun, feel the pulse of a guest chef game or meet family and friends over a grand Christmas buffet from the sea when Kivik's harbor is in frosty winter.

Buhres ligger på det magiskt vackra Österlen i Skåne. På Verandan, Bistron eller Luckan kan du njuta av det bästa som havet har att erbjuda, precis intill havet i pittoreska Kivik. Matglädje, tradition och gemenskap.
Vi tillagar våra råvaror på ett modernt vis, men värnar samtidigt om traditionerna och matkulturarvet i vår region. Allt tillreds på plats, och i vårt småskaliga rökeri röks varsamt fisk och skaldjur till vår välfyllda fisk- och delikatessbutik. Vår berömda rökta lax röker vi med en väl avvägd spånblandning. Rökning är en gammal konserveringsmetod och för oss är det självklart att röka på ett traditionsenligt sätt. Den vedeldade metoden kräver kompetens och fingertoppskänsla hos rökmästaren, och ger en unik, nyanserad smak, yta och vacker färg på fisken.
Butiken är en av Sveriges mest välsorterade fisk- och delikatessbutiker. Här finns allt från egna sillinläggningar efter hemliga recept, till exotiska fiskar, ostron, hummer, såser, pajer, smörgåstårtor och delikatesser från det egna köket.
Sommartid öppnar vi upp Luckan, eller ”Sillaluckan”, där vi serverar vår egen tolkning av nordisk snabbmat. Goda och okomplicerade rätter. Sillaluckan är en folklig mötesplats för en lunch eller enkel måltid. Varje år kommer omkring 50.000 matglada och hungriga människor, både Kiviksborna själva och turister från såväl Sverige som grannländer och mer avlägsna platser från jordens alla hörn hit för att smörja kråset.
Ibland bjuder vi in till matevenemang för finsmakare som vill uppleva matglädje i all enkelhet. Vi tar världen till vårt kök och ser gäster trivas och mötas, ta en bit mat, prova ostron på terrassen i solen, känna pulsen i ett kockgästspel eller träffa släkt och vänner över en storstilad julbuffé från havet när Kiviks hamn står i frostig vinterskrud.
