Based in Sweden, Niclas considers himself a global citizen, with a long-standing professional focus on the intersection of food culture, tourism, regional development, and international cooperation.
He is educated in Risk Management and Security Coordination, with a specialisation in International Relations and OSINT (Open Source Intelligence).
Raised in a family of restaurateurs, he developed an early understanding of the value of craftsmanship, hospitality, and local food traditions - an influence that continues to shape his work today.
Since 2012, Niclas has served as Global Coordinator of the Culinary Heritage Network, where he oversees international cooperation, certification development, and strategic projects connecting partners across more than 25 countries. His work focuses on strengthening the role of local food, authenticity, and cultural identity as drivers of sustainable tourism and regional growth.
In addition to his role within Culinary Heritage, Niclas acts as Senior Advisor to several international companies and initiatives within tourism, digital platforms, and regional development, contributing with strategic guidance in areas such as innovation, market positioning, and international partnerships.
Niclas is a frequent keynote speaker at conferences and professional forums, where he addresses topics including food tourism, experience development, rural resilience, local economies, and the future of gastronomy in a globalised world.
He has delivered presentations and lectures in more than twenty countries, including Austria, Belarus, Belgium, Croatia, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Sweden, Turkey and Ukraine.
