Restaurant Re di mare – the King of the Seas The restaurant Re di mare is anchored at the foot of Marjan Hill, in the oldest Split marina. In secluded and romantic place, with a spacious terrace with a soothing sea view, it is a well known oasis for local visitors, who appreciate the authentic Dalmatian cuisine. Eventually, the increasing numbers of tourists who discover it has made it a favourite tourist destination. The restaurant took a long way from the place where the boat owners could eat a quick meal on the go, to a sophisticated restaurant ideal for enjoying seafood and meat delicacies. A parking place is provided to all our guests. Given the fact that the restaurant is located in the beautiful marina, the guests sailors are provided with a berth up to 10 meters inside the marina, and for larger vessels we provide the outside berth at the pier. In the hot summer months a new menu has been created. The dishes are made of daily purchased fresh ingredients. Fresh foods that are purchased on a daily basis and the pasta we make, among which ravioli stuffed with ricotta and spinach and pljukanci are our specialties. Our goal is to increase the quality of our dishes with our own freshly baked bread and various types of pasta, such as ravioli and pljukanci which are a part of our daily offer and which make a great side dish to light and tasty meals. The greatest advantage, highly appreciated by our guests is our offer of fish caught the very same day. As owners of the fish wholesale "Centaurus", the fish market "Gastro ribarnica Brac," and the restaurant Re di mare, we have created a synergy between those activities, which enabled our guests to always enjoy fresh and high quality fish. The fish prepared "in 100 Ways" is being prepared exclusively on the oakwood from Brač island, which gives it that special flavour. Our seafood platter "Re di mare" has had a cult status among the fans of Adriatic fish for a long time. We are proud to present you "Frigadura", a new special platter for two people and a new special dish “rays in forno”. Our “Frigadura” platter is evidence that inexpensive fish can stay beside the first class fish. The essential ingredient used for preparing the most exquisite fish dishes is olive oil, which we supply each year. In addition to fresh fish we can proudly present meat from Croatian farms. We use our six-meters-wide grill to prepare lamb from Brač Island, served with young onions, rooster, lamb or veal under the baking lid. The qualities of our meat dishes are superior gastronomic pleasure but also authenticity. Since we agree with the thought of the Greek philosopher Plutarch von Charon, that "wine is the most beneficial of all drinks, the pleasantest medicine in the world, and the most enjoyable food" we have created our wine list very carefully. The wine list is designed so that it contains only exquisite Croatian wines, particularly selected to match the offer of our meals. As icing on the cake, we offer our "Summer Rhapsody", a very refreshing dessert. We are happy to offer an authentic dessert from Brač Island, the cake " hrapačuša " which has arrived from this island long time ago and traditional Dalmatian “rožada“, another perfect ending to your meal. To make our guests’ experience complete, besides wide range of meals and wine list, we have a live music band which plays four times a week at the restaurant, with a wide repertoire of Croatian and foreign songs. The music, fine wine and delicious meal on a wonderful terrace by the sea, all together make a perfect surrounding to enjoy yourselves, like in the real "dolce vita". It is our great honour and pleasure to embellish the special moments in our guests’ lives. Therefore we organize the wedding parties, baptism parties, first communion parties, confirmation parties and birthday parties. Except for private celebrations, our restaurant is an appropriate place for business lunches or dinners. Our space is air-conditioned and decorated by a three meters long aquarium with real fish and crustaceans. Years of work and effort have resulted in a symbiotic relationship of quality, acceptable prices and pleasant atmosphere which made restaurant Re di mare (Sea King) justify its name. But don’t just take our word for it, come and see it for yourselves! Located on the sea shore, far from the city crowd restaurant Re di Mare is the ideal place for romantic weddings, but also for other family and business celebrations . We organize baptisms, communions, confirmations, birthday parties ... The restaurant has 100 seats in the hall and 120 seats on the outdoor terrace with insured parking .
