Przedsiębiorstwo Uzdrowisko Ciechocinek S.A. vaunts over 175-year tradition of spa treatment. Spa Production Plants operating within the Spa Company produce, on the basis of natural materials, such products as: “Krystynka" mineral water, sludge, lye and edible salt. The Spa Production Plants use the brine springs within Ciechocinek. Water from those springs supplies the graduation towers that create a unique microclimate thanks to the curative aerosol. “Krystynka” - a mineral water of unique taste has been acquired from spring No. 19 since 1902. It is highly mineralized water with a salty aftertaste, filtered on iron removers. It contains a large amount of magnesium – the element of life. The high content of calcium makes “Krystynka” a possible support for treatment and prevention of osteoporosis. The Ciechocinek brine is also the basic raw material for the saltworks operating since 1830. Salt produced in it is so called evaporated salt. Apart from the sodium chloride the Ciechocinek salt includes also natural calcium, magnesium and potassium iodine elements. In 2011 it was entered onto the Traditional Product List with the decision of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development.
