Karczma POHULANKA (Pohulanka Inn) is located in an inn building of historical worth. It was moved to the Museum of the Mazovian Countryside from Sochocin near Płońsk. The 17th century building is the only one of its kind in the north-western Mazovian region. POHULANKA’s specialty is its unique home made bread (weighing 7 kg!), delicious served with lard and pickled cucumber. The menu includes many other delicacies of Mazovian cuisine, such as bigos (Polish-style sauerkraut and meat stew), żurek (traditional Polish rye flour soup), potato dumplings with crackling and curd cheese, and pierogi (Polish-style dumplings). Guests who set foot in POHULANKA find it hard to leave its welcoming atmosphere, created not only by the location and traditional interior of the inn, but most importantly by its friendly staff. It is also possible to buy folk handicraft products, regional decorations, paintings and other souvenirs in the inn.
