In the spring of 2011, Susanne Kristiansen took over this shop which originally opened in 2005 and had already become an institution in Svaneke. The »new« grocery shop is fitted out with some of the furnishings and equipment from the old Holst Grocery Shop, which occupied these same premises fifty years ago. Susanne considers herself to be a real food nerd, dedicated to all things local and organic. Svaneke Købmandshandel already sells more locally produced foods than any other shop on Bornholm, and Susanne will be endeavouring to sell even more local berries and fruit in the future.
