The bakery of Mr Bzówka has existed since 1937, when it was founded by bakery master Stanisław Kiernożycki, grandfather of the present owner. Bodzentyński bread, baked from the beginning of the bakery, was registered on the List of Traditional Products in 2007, which confirmed the long-standing tradition of making this natural sourdough bread. Ii owes its unique flavour not only to natural ingredients, but also to a specific production method, namely baking in a wood-fired oven. In the age of mass production of the industrial food, the use of such a method is already an incredible rarity.
