The butcher Pelgen opened in Neustadt an der Weinstraße 1968. Since 1993 the familiy business is run in 3rd generation by Jürgen Pelgen. The offer includes among others: - Palatine chestnut Saumagen - Air-dried blood sausage (Palatinate Pfefferbeißer) - Boiled, cooked and raw sausages from own production by family recipe - Ham specialties - Palatine liverwurst - Air-dried brawn in the bladder - Dry Aged Beef ... And many more delicacies The meat is produced by local farmers, e.g. lamb from a sheep farm in Lachen-Speyerdorf the pork, beef and veal from the Peasant Farmer Group Schwäbisch Hall. The traditional business was awarded by the Magazine DER FEINSCHMECKER as one of Germany's 500 best Butchers.
